Beni continues without presenting a single case.

The Ministry of Health reported that until 20:00 on Tuesday, 11 new cases of coronavirus were registered, with which there are 609 patients with the virus throughout the country. Of the new positive cases, seven correspond to Santa Cruz, three to La Paz and one to Cochabamba.

Within a week of quarantine, 31 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, bringing the number of infected patients to 703 and the deaths to 43, with three deaths in the city of Santa Cruz. The number of people recovered reached 54.

The head of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, Virgilio Prieto, presented report 39 on the situation of COVID-19 in Bolivia.

According to data from the epidemiological surveillance system, of the 31 new cases, the highest number is in Santa Cruz with 14. Another ten were reported in La Paz, three in Cochabamba and one in the department of Chuquisaca.

“With these data, the accumulated total amounts to 703, distributed as follows: 385 in Santa Cruz; 150 in La Paz, 66 in Cochabamba, 62 in Oruro; 21 in Potos?; 12 in Pando; 3 in Tarija; 2 in Chuquisaca and 2 in Beni, ”Prieto explained, in a report issued by the state channel.

As of this Thursday, 4,292 discarded cases were reported, of which 1,674 belong to the department of Santa Cruz, a region that since last Tuesday has carried out a strict quarantine due to the increase in infections, and 1,138 to La Paz. Cochabamba has 859 discarded, while Oruro has 251, Potos? 103, Pando 70, Tarija 36, Chuquisaca 115 and Beni 46.

"Likewise, we report today three deceased in Santa Cruz, making a cumulative total of 43 deaths," Prieto reported.

To date, there are 68 suspects that, according to Prieto, will be confirmed or ruled out by laboratory tests in the next few. The Head of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health warned that among the most frequent symptoms that a person with coronavirus feels are dry cough, general discomfort and headache.

Prieto explained that health professionals should take the corresponding samples when the patient presents with a cough and fever. He regretted the misuse of the chinstrap and remarked that it has to cover the entire area of the mouth and recalled that hand washing, which is the main vehicle for transmitting the disease, must be essential.

"Wash your hands and stay at home, contribute to this struggle of the Bolivians," he reflected.

Bolivia registers 59 new cases of coronavirus

The national head of epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, Virgilio Prieto, reported on Saturday that in Bolivia there are 59 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), bringing the number of confirmed patients with that disease to 866.

"We reported 59 new positive cases, of which 43 correspond to Santa Cruz, 6 to Beni, 5 to Potos?, 4 to La Paz and 1 to Cochabamba," he said. In addition, he confirmed the death of two people, one from Santa Cruz and one from La Paz, bringing the number to 46 deaths across the country.

Prieto explained that of the total of cases, 489 are in Santa Cruz, 159 in La Paz, 71 in Cochabamba, 65 in Oruro, 26 in Potos?, 12 in Pando, 3 in Tarija, 2 in Chuquisaca and 39 in Beni.

The national head of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, Virgilio Prieto, reported that until 20:00 this Thursday, the last day of April, there are 1167 positive cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Bolivia, after registering 57 new infected in this day.

Regarding the new cases, according to the report, 41 correspond to Santa Cruz and 16 to La Paz. On the other hand, Prieto confirmed the death of 3 people in the department of Santa Cruz, bringing the total number to 62.

Bolivia today reports 62 new patients with covid-19, five more than yesterday, with which it accumulates 1,229 confirmed cases. Four deaths from this disease were recorded, for a total of 66.
